Analytical methods Calorimetry Microcalorimetry
This technique allows the measurement of heat exchanges associated with chemical reactions or physical events .It is used to study reactions involving biomolecules, such as interactions between molecules or conformational changes such as protein folding. The range of applications goes from confirming the integrity of a target in the discovery of bioactive molecules to the development of stable biotherapeutic systems. These processes are often studied using two calorimetric techniques: isothermal calorimetric titration (ITC) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
