Analytical methods Physicochemical Microscale thermophoresis
Microscale thermophoresis (MST) is a technology for the biophysical analysis of interactions between biomolecules. This technique is based on the detection of a temperature-induced change in fluorescence of a target as a function of the concentration of a non-fluorescent ligand. MST is used to measure interactions in real time, without partner immobilization, and in all types of complex biological buffers or liquids. Microscale thermophoresis can, with low sample quantities, provides information on affinity constants for a range of affinity between nM and mM, with high accuracy and affinity.
